Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life – for example, you may feel worried and anxious about sitting an exam, or having a medical test or job interview. During times like these, feeling anxious can be perfectly normal.
However, some people find it hard to control their worries. Their feelings of anxiety are more constant and can often affect their daily lives. Blueberry which is known to be an excellent antioxidant also has amazing anxiety-fighting capabilities.
Anxiety-Fighting Blueberry Smoothie
This weight loss smoothie contains three stress-fighting ingredients:
- Chamomile tea has been clinically proven to ease symptoms of depression and anxiety.
- Blueberries contain high amounts of antioxidants to help your body to recover from stress.
- The smell of peppermint is a known soother (and appetite-suppressant!)
Anxiety-Fighting Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup brewed and cooled chamomile tea
1 serving Science-Smart SuperCharged Smoothie Base Mix
1 cup sliced cucumber
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)
water
sprig of mint for garnish
Directions:
Put all the ingredients in a blender in order listed and blend well, adding water or ice to achieve desired consistency. If hot smoothie is desired, use my SuperCharged Hot Base Mix instead of the Smoothie Base Mix. Place blended smoothie in small saucepan and heat over medium, but do not boil.
